Zoom: Family Film Festival

Each year the Wex brings families and film fans a long weekend of incredible movies for all ages: fiction and documentary, live action and animation, features and shorts, American-made and international, contemporary and classic. Fun activities and events are also part of the schedule, often involving special guests, hands-on projects, and even tasty refreshments.

Sat, Dec 6, 2008 10 AM

Join us for an enchanting program of cartoons specially chosen from the countless treasures in the Disney vaults.

This collection of shorts from the golden era of Disney animation (the late 1930s and mid-1940s) features some of the greatest moments of the most popular cartoon characters ever brought to life: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and more. Among the titles we’ll show are the classics Clock Cleaners (1937) and Lonesome Ghosts (1937). (approx. 45 mins., 35mm)

Come to the Cereal and Pajama Party before the screening and take an exhibition tour afterward.

Need a Break?
Stop by Cam's on Campus for coffee, baked goods, and PB&J sandwiches from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday. And don't forget to visit the Wexner Center Store, for toys, gifts, and books for all ages.

The 2008 festival was organized by Chris Stults, assistant curator of film/video, and Dionne Custer, educator for school programs. If you would like to discuss the specifics of any film before viewing it with your child, please call Dionne Custer at (614) 292-7008.
