Symposium on Narrative, Science, and Performance

Registration required

Thu, Oct 1, 2009

Fifty years ago, British scientist and author C. P. Snow controversially declared that the sciences and humanities had grown so far apart that the "two cultures" could no longer communicate with one another. This symposium brings scientists and humanists together to explore new possibilities for dialogue across long-standing disciplinary divides.

The registration fee includes a ticket to a performance of SITI's Who Do You Think You Are, a keynote event for the symposium, on Thursday and attendance at all sessions, including a Friday morning panel discussion where one of the speakers is Anne Bogart, SITI Company's artistic director. She'll discuss how ideas from the science of the brain have been incorporated into the company's latest production. Click here for more on the conference or to register.

Cosponsored by Project Narrative, an initiative of Ohio State's Department of English, and the Wexner Center.
