"Convinces you that original music still exists."--Alternative Press

The delightfully idiosyncratic and mainly instrumental music of Massachusetts band The Books thrilled everyone that caught their Columbus debut here last season. Their evocative and fascinating approach bends twangy acoustic instrumentation to serve avant-sonic impulses, creating a sound that's unparalleled on today's indie scene.

Sweet-voiced singer/songwriter Joel Thibodeau leads opening band Death Vessel in a set of his beguilingly buoyant neo-folk tunes to start the show.
