“They’ve always had a rich, full sound. But now, it’s larger, more grandiose…with soaring strings, crashing guitars, pounding percussion, and vocals that pine for the moon.”—Paste

Bucolic North Carolina indie folk band Bowerbirds have expanded their already intriguingly shaded sound with their latest release, The Clearing. Now they return to the Wex to charm fans with their harmony singing and the sweeping, widescreen Americana they achieve with acoustic guitars, accordion, strings, and all manner of musical things. Bowerbirds are poised for a breakout with this recent release, so hear them up close in our intimate Performance Space while you can.

Canadian indie folk songstress Basia Bulat opens the show with a solo set of enchanting songs accompanied on autoharp.

Saintseneca

No tickets remain for Columbus-based indie-folk band Saintseneca, who will celebrate their Dark Arc album release at the Wex on Apr 19.
