“Poetic license feels more like a savage gift in Bejar's hands.”—Under the Radar

Cryptic twists abound in the distinctly unconventional, often florid lyrical flights of Canadian singer/songwriter Dan Bejar who performs as Destroyer (as well as a sometimes–member of the New Pornographers). In this special solo show, Bejar performs material drawn from his entire catalog of songs that reveal the imprint of Scott Walker and David Bowie’s influences as well as Bejar’s own strongly individualistic stamp. From epic balladry and the haunting drift of melancholia to warm and beautiful floating melodies, Bejar hits all the right notes as he offers up a heady, hallucinogenic immersion into his vivid imagination and deep songcraft. This will be your last chance to see Destroyer live in the US until 2015, so get your tickets now.

Personally endorsed by Dan Bejar, Columbus’s own Andrew Graham & Swarming Branch open the evening with their highly unique tunes. As Dusted notes, the band “rolls up glam rock with Americana in ways that are addictive and inspired, and totally enjoyable.”

Note: this show standing room only.
