"Wide ranging savvy, fizzing enthusiasm, and sheer brilliance."--DOTMUSIC on Hot Chip

Switch over to European voltage for this showcase of hotwired talent from the Continent. South London-quintet Hot Chip has upped the ante for edgy dance pop with its recent Astralwerks CD The Warning, which updates the band's brash electro take on soul and hip-hop rhythms. From Dusseldorf, the electronica extremists of coheadliner Mouse on Mars bring their own stuttering, subversive, slamming rhythmic action to the party, echoing the direction of the band's new CD, Varchaz. Lithops (a.k.a. Jan St. Werner, from Mouse on Mars) opens with a solo laptop set featuring sounds from the new release Mound Magnet, on Thrill Jockey.

Please note: French turntablist foursome Birdy Nam Nam, previously announced as an opener, will not be appearing due to travel difficulties.
