"A kinetic affirmation of the power of art."—Minneapolis Star Tribune

There is no late seating for this special ticketed performance for the Wexner Center's members and invited guests. Known for his magnetic presence and athletic grace, Bill T. Jones infuses topics of universal import with an acutely personal and poetic vocabulary. By turns lyrical and sinuous, raw and graceful, provocative and sensitive, As I Was Saying... distills the hallmarks of his career in a performance that features the choreographer himself as a dynamic soloist.

Tickets to the performance are free as a benefit of Wexner Center membership (2 per member household). Tickets requested by Monday, October 24, have been mailed to your home. Tickets requested after that date are being held at "Will Call." (Guests attending the Wexner Center's 16th Anniversary Gala, also on Saturday, October 29, will receive their performance tickets at gala registration.)

Each Wexner Prize honors a major contemporary artist who has been consistently original, influential, and challenging to convention. This year, visionary dancer/choreographer Bill T. Jones joins our stellar roster: theater pioneer Peter Brook, choreographer Merce Cunningham and composer John Cage, visual artist Bruce Nauman, choreographer and media artist Yvonne Rainer, filmmaker Martin Scorsese, painter Gerhard Richter, sculptor Louise Bourgeois, artist Robert Rauschenberg, architect Renzo Piano, choreographer William Forsythe, and designer Issey Miyake.

Jones accepts the prize on Friday, October 28, at an invitation-only ceremony held in conjunction with the reopening of our galleries. Invited guests include members of the Wexner Center's Donor Circles and Corporate Council membership groups. Visit the membership section of this web site for information on the privileges members of these groups enjoy.
