Lost in the Trees with Poor Moon

“Lost in the Trees is orchestral folk where the ‘orchestral’ part isn't an afterthought. This is mighty potent stuff.”—NPR

The musicians of Lost in the Trees deftly blend classical training with smart folk and pop elements in a sound that is simultaneously hauntingly intimate and ambitious. Led by composer and songwriter Ari Picker, the band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, delighted fans who first heard them here last season, and Lost in the Trees are ready to go the next level in 2012. Seattle folk-pop band Poor Moon, with Christian Wargo and Casey Wescott of Fleet Foxes, open the show with their evocative harmonies.
