"Challenging, ingenious, electronic surrealism for the brain and ears."--PLAYLOUDER on Matmos Genius laptop duo Matmos return on their first U.S. tour in three years on the heels of their new Matador release, The Rose Has Teeth in the Mouth of a Beast. Featuring M.C. Schmidt and Drew Daniel's imaginative sounds and treatments, plus vocal cameos by pals Bjork, Antony (sans Johnsons), and Maja Ratkje of Fe-Mail, the disc offers a series of sound portraits of figures who have inspired the band, including literary icon William S. Burroughs, wannabe Warhol assassin Valerie Solanis, eccentric English record producer Joe Meek, and mutant disco DJ Larry Levan.

The captivating new music quartet So Percussion opens with a set of their own and joins Matmos for a special onstage collaboration. The New York Times called the band's performances "brilliant...consistently impressive…energetic and thorough in mining all [its] works for their visceral and structural thrills."
