Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche

This show for forward-thinking music fans features two members of Wilco, each performing solo sets and teaming up for a special collaboration. Drummer Glenn Kotche's first solo CD for Nonesuch, Mobile, has garnered acclaim for its inventive updates on Steve Reich and Balinese gamelan music as well as for Kotche's own finely wrought compositions. The Wire called it "a high level concept album that never wastes a note." Kotche performed here with Wilco and again with Jeff Tweedy in 2005.

Guitar shredder Nels Cline, whose freewheeling sound bridges the avant-garde and rock scenes, is a force to be reckoned with in any setting. A member of Wilco since 1994, Cline burns brightly as an inspired soloist--"a one man electric self-exorcism" writes LA Weekly.
