with openers Local Natives and Mount Moriah

This popular series introduces young indie scene music innovators in our intimate black box venues and welcomes breakout bands to larger theaters.

Artful indie scene leaders the National headline this special event, as they tour in support of Trouble Will Find Me, their sixth studio album, released on the 4AD label in late May. Currently based in Brooklyn, but with roots in Ohio, the National have a cathartic power, simultaneously raw and reflective, that connects deeply with their many fans. This newest release advances their rich sound, brilliant yet suffused in shadows and filled with deep musical hues.

This one day festival is presented by our partners at PromoWest Productions and proceeds from the show will benefit both the Wexner Center's programs and CD 102.5 for the Kids, the children's charity arm of local independent radio station CD 102.5 FM.

Fast-breaking Los Angeles–based art pop band Local Natives—whose recent CD Hummingbird was coproduced by Aaron Dessner of the National—delight fans with their intricate interplay and bright harmonies. North Carolina-based band Mount Moriah open the evening with a set of Southern-accented folk-rock.

Please note: Matthew E. White, who previously was announced to open this concert, had to cancel due to laryngitis.
