Adventures in Your Own Backyard is a frankly exquisite, elegantly crafted gem.”—BBC Music

Patrick Watson, the Montreal-based band that shares the name of its chief singer/songwriter, will charm you with their richly detailed chamber pop sound that has drawn favorable comparisons to talents like Andrew Bird, Jeff Buckley or Rufus Wainwright. Their most recent release Adventures in Your Own Backyard has earned widespread praise for its melodic invention and craft that carries Watson’s lovely lyrical flights forward. As New Musical Express’s reviewer put it, “the spontaneous-sounding arrangements – topped by Watson’s uniquely mercurial voice – are at turns ornate, grand and subtle, but never less than totally bewitching….these woozily intoxicating songs deserve your attention.”
