Give the drummer some! Bay Area drummer Scott Amendola captains one of the most vital young bands reinventing jazz-rock fusion for today.

Amendola's ensemble plays electric improvisation of the highest order, featuring Wilco's guitar shredder Nels Cline (back after a gig here in the fall), exciting violinist Jenny Scheinman (who also visits us with Bill Frisell), Tortoise and Isotope 217 standout Jeff Parker, also on guitar, and first-call Bay Area jazz bassist John Shifflett. Their most recent CD, Believe, is a testament to Amendola's strength as a composer, with each musician contributing to the collective desire to take you higher...and higher.
