Just Announced!

"Explosive inspiration masquerading as a lullaby."
--Pitchfork on The Sea and Cake When they're not otherwise occupied as solo musicians, in-demand producers, graphic artists, or painters, the members of Chicago-based indie "supergroup" The Sea and Cake come together to issue such captivating avant-pop recordings as Oui (2000) and conduct the rare tour.
Boasting the talents of singer/guitarist Sam Prekop, guitarist Archer Prewitt, bassist Eric Claridge, and drummer/programmer John McEntire (who also supplies the rhythmic force behind Tortoise), The Sea and Cake's sixth release, One Bedroom, furthers the post-rock perspective that "quiet is the new loud."

Circulatory System, a spinoff group from the Olivia Tremor Control/Neutral Milk Hotel axis of musical adventurers, opens the concert with their darkly inviting sound.
