"Irresistible."--Richmond Times-Dispatch

Jazz star Wynton Marsalis tours with his own band, performing his own original compositions for the first time in a decade.

Wynton Marsalis has made regular stops at the Wexner Center in past years, leading the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra through the classic repertoire of such swing giants as Ellington, Basie, and Gillespie. However, he hasn't been heard performing his own compositions with a small group here since 1992 with Griot New York, his masterful collaboration with choreographer Garth Fagan.

Over the past year, Wynton has enjoyed playing extended runs in New York clubs with his septet. The experience has whetted his appetite for taking this band on the road to explore the intricacies of his latest tunes live. Don't miss this major date on this year's jazz calendar.
