Panel of Five Successful Local Businesswomen to Discuss Women, Business, and Philanthropy

Mon, Sep 08, 2008

Kaira Sturdivant Rouda—president of Columbus real estate company Real Living and author of the new book Real You Incorporated: 8 Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs—will lead a free panel discussion on entrepreneurship, branding, and philanthropy in the Wexner Center’s Film/Video Theater Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30 pm. Drawing on her 20 years of experience in marketing, brand building, and entrepreneurship, Rouda will be joined by four other notable local women. The event will begin with a reception at 6 pm and conclude with a booksigning.

In addition to Rouda, the panelists (all from the Columbus business community) include: Bev Bethge, founder and chief creative officer of branding firm Ologie; Jeni Britton, president and founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams; Elizabeth Lessner, owner and operator of Betty's Fine Food and Spirits, Surly Girl Saloon, and Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails; and Kim Holzer, CPA and financial advisor with Smith Barney (more information on each panelist can be found here). The panelists will discuss their experiences as women in the business world, and offer their thoughts on branding and incorporating philanthropy into an overall brand presence; they will also take questions from the audience.

The event is free, but RSVP is requested.
