Columbus, OH—The Wexner Center announced today the appointment of Arthur Ryel-Lindsey as director of marketing & communications and Erica Anderson as director of creative services. Ryel-Lindsey, who begins at the center in July, has risen through the ranks at Tribeca Enterprises since 2013, where he most recently served as creative services director, leading creative marketing and promotional campaigns for the Tribeca Film Festival. Anderson, who joined the center in April, was a senior designer for Ologie, where she developed and honed brand identities for a wide range of clients, including major national universities.

“I am thrilled to welcome this talented duo to our senior management team,” says Wex Director Sherri Geldin. “The opportunity to concurrently recruit new leaders for both our marketing/communications and creative service/design departments allows for fresh and incisive thinking as we amplify the center’s brand identity and articulation across all platforms—whether institutional or programmatic, print or digital, static or mobile.”

Ryel-Lindsey and Anderson will work alongside Geldin and Deputy Director Jack Jackson to rigorously assess and reconfigure the marketing/communications and design teams’ structure, strategies, and practices, with the objective of shaping more dynamic, sophisticated, and powerful communications protocols and processes.

“Both of these individuals have unique but complementary knowledge and know-how in brand building and communication,” says Jackson. “The synergies that will result from their combined talents and leadership will advance the center’s efforts to extend its brand reach to new audiences, while sustaining and reinvigorating our base.”

During his time at Tribeca, Ryel-Lindsey managed the redesign of tribecafilm.com and its subsidiary websites for the festival and the company’s distribution arm, Tribeca Film; oversaw the Tribeca Online Festival for two years; and formalized Tribeca’s brand style, managing both brand accuracy and integrity with the festival’s corporate partners. From 2009 to 2012, he worked in various marketing and communications roles with the North Carolina Symphony, Duke University Press, and PlayMakers Repertory Company at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From 2006 to 2009, he worked for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, where he organized the year-round marketing campaigns for Walter Reade Theatre and managed creative and communications for an array of annual events, including the New York Film Festival.

While at Ologie, Anderson conceptualized and implemented brand solutions that included print, digital, and environmental applications for a wide array of clients in the health, wealth, and education sectors. At Ologie, Anderson was the lead creative on the “Columbus Makes Art/Art Makes Columbus” brand marketing campaign, which will launch this summer. Her new position at the Wex marks a return for Anderson, who, from 2005 to 2013 served as a designer and, later, senior designer. During that time, she developed solutions to creatively communicate and promote the center’s diverse activities, including the design of exhibition catalogues for Catch Air: Robin Rhode and Pipilotti Rist: The Tender Room. Anderson also worked as a studio artist for Abercrombie & Fitch and as a graphic design freelancer with Bath & Body Works and a number of US art museums.

Ryel-Lindsey, a Chicago native, earned an M.A. in arts journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and B.A.s in English and film from Ohio State. Anderson, a Toledo native, earned a B.S. in visual communication design from Ohio State and lives in German Village.
