Professor, poet, and art columnist Ann Lauterbach reads from her recent collection If in Time: Selected Poems 1975-2000.

An inventive poet admired by many, Ann Lauterbach has published six collections of poetry, including If in Time: Selected Poems 1975-2000. A professor of language and literature at Bard College, Lauterbach has written on art, poetry, and culture, notably in "The Night Sky," a series of columns for the American Poetry Review. A recipient of Guggenheim and MacArthur fellowships, Lauterbach has collaborated with several visual artists including sculptor Ann Hamilton, with whom she worked on Whitecloth (1999), a catalogue for the Aldrich Museum. Lauterbach's other poetry collections include On a Stair (1997); And for Example (1994); Clamor (1991); Before Recollection (1987); Many Times, but Then (1979).

Presented by Ohio State's Department of Art as part of its ongoing Visiting Artists and Critics series. Cosponsored by the Wexner Center.
