Art & Environment Student Art Commission Opening Reception

Join us for the unveiling of Art & Environment graduate Dempsey Ewan’s professional art commission at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Ewan received the commission after completing the center’s annual eco art course for high school students grades 10–12 and securing the most votes from contributors to a related power2give crowdfunding campaign (donors were eligible to vote on works featured in the Wex exhibition Interventions: Students Respond to the Environment). Ewan’s commission will be on view to the public at the Audubon for two years while serving as a teaching tool for environmental educators.

Special thanks to the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s power2give program and the donors who supported this commission, including Dan and Christie Crane, Lisa Florman, Jack Jackson, Madeline Khurma, Bryon and Susan Murray, Jean Pitman, and Christy Schoedinger, as well as Puffin Foundation West, which provided matching funds for the campaign.
