Glass artist Richard Harned and photographer Tony Mendoza each discuss their recent work in this presentation of the art department's Current Perspective series held in conjunction with the Faculty Exhibitions at Hopkins Hall Gallery (128 North Oval Mall).

Richard Harned is professor and co-coordinator in the Department of Art's glass program. His artwork investigates the nature of glass and technology. He has worked, lectured, and taught nationally and internationally, and founded Glass Axis, a not-for-profit workshop and artists' organization in Central Ohio.

Tony Mendoza is an associate professor in the department's photography program. Mendoza's focus on documentation features an emphasis on storytelling and a personal approach to subject matter. The book and video Cuba: Going Back captured his first trip back to his native Cuba after 36 years.

Walk over to Hopkins immediately after the talk for a reception with the artists.
