The Myopic Series

wex grid image fill

As he describes it, Associate Professor of Art Steve Thurston's recent work uses new technologies to "reexamine the quixotic ideals of 19th-century Romantics." In his work in ceramics, Thurston seeks to "find a balance between traditional craft and industrial practice." On view in Intrinsic, the faculty show at Hopkins Hall Gallery, Thurston's architecturally scaled forms in The Origins of Allegories--The Myopic Series use new methods to establish a sense of "timelessness and ethereal mood."

Presented by Ohio State's Hopkins Hall Gallery & Corridor. Cosponsored by the Wexner Center.
