Call for Entries—Youth Division
Ohio Short Film and Video Showcase 2006
Celebrating our 20th anniversary with new short works by filmmakers and video artists from across the Buckeye state.
Calling all film and video artists ages 18 and under. Submit your work now for the Youth Division of the Wexner Center's annual Ohio Short Film and Video Showcase. The deadline for entries is Friday, March 31, 2006. The Youth Division is intended to provide Ohio's younger independent media artists a chance to show their work in a theatrical setting before an audience. Last year's capacity crowd witnessed 16 short works by artists from around the state. Prizes are awarded to the top youth-produced videos.
This year's Youth Division showcase screening takes place on Saturday, May 13, at 4:30 PM in the Wexner Center Film/Video Theater.
Artists must be 18 or younger at the time of the showcase screening. (Artists 18 or older should apply to the main division of the Ohio Short Film and Video Showcase.)
Pieces must be independently produced, no longer than 10 minutes in length, and produced in Ohio within the last 18 months. Entries must be submitted on 1/2" VHS videotape, mini-DV, or DVD. (Any format of film or video may be screened at the showcase on May 13.) Works submitted to previous showcases will not be accepted.
