Writer, interdisciplinary artist, and author Coco FuscoÛone of North America's leading interpreters of intercultural theory and practiceÛdiscusses her work. Coco Fusco discusses her recent projects about Latina women working near the U.S./Mexico border: her play The Incredible Disappearing Woman and video Dolores from 10 to 10. SheÌll also talk about her involvement with The Women in Black Art Project, a group raising awareness about the almost 800 women who have ÏdisappearedÓ in and around Ju∑rez, Mexico.

Fusco is the author of English is Broken Here (1995) and The Bodies That Were Not Ours and Other Writings (2001). She also edited the anthology Corpus Delecti: Performance Art of the Americas (1999), which includes an essay by performance artist Leandro Soto.

After talking about her own work here, she leads a post-performance discussion following Leandro Soto's performance/video/installation, E Pluribus Unum, at Mount Hall Studio Theater (1050 Carmack Road) at 8 pm. The performance and talk are part of the Ohio State Department of TheatreÌs international program ÏPerformance and Culture in Cuba.Ó
