A Conversation with Catherine David and Chris Dercon

Tue, Nov 6, 2001 7 PM

Join us for a fascinating conversation with two distinguished curators who have worked with or exhibited projects by both Helio Oiticica and Johan van der Keuken. Ticket price includes gallery admission.
Both Johan van der Keuken and Helio Oiticica challenged the way we think about the world through photography, film, and video, often blurring the lines between these forms to create an expanded, hybrid experience of art. Join us for a fascinating conversation with two curators who have worked with or exhibited projects by both artists. Catherine David, formerly curator at the Galerie National de Jeu de Paume and the Musee National d'Art Moderne of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, was the artistic director of Documenta X. Chris Dercon, director of RotterdamÌs Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, is also an art critic, lecturer on cinema and video, and freelance collaborator on numerous film and video programs.
