Double Take: Maurice Stevens and Paul Reitter

Gallery Talks

In these hour-long gallery conversations, you'll discuss the current exhibitions with artists, curators, and members of the Ohio State community.

Thu, Oct 29, 2009 12:30 PM

This fall we're introducing a new gallery talk format in which two Ohio State faculty members talk about work on view at the Wexner Center from the perspective of their own research and academic fields.

In the inaugural session, Maurice Stevens, associate professor in Comparative Studies, and Paul Reitter, associate professor in Germanic Languages and Literatures, discuss the work of Luc Tuymans. Reitter and Stevens share an interest in how historic events are remembered and represented in later years, a topic that resonates throughout Tuymans’s paintings. Take a little time during your lunch break to feed your mind and join us for what is sure to be a fascinating discussion.
