Please join Ohio State’s Photo League and the Wexner Center in welcoming artist Erin Shirreff, here to discuss her practice and work. Shirreff explores intersections of sculpture, photography, and video. The function of photographic representation provides a persistent point of departure in her investigation of the spaces between object and material.

Born in 1975 and based in Brooklyn, Shirreff recently had solo exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Lisa Cooley, New York; and White Cube, London, as part of the "Inside the White Cube" series. She was artist-in-residence at Artpace, San Antonio, this past fall, and a monograph on her work was published in spring 2013. Her work appears in the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; the Dallas Museum of Art and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and the Centre Pompidou, Paris, among others.

Cosponsored by Ohio State’s Photo League.
