Repeats every week every Thursday until Thu Dec 29 2011 .

Admission to the galleries is free for everyone on Thursday evenings. Throughout the fall, you can see three stunning exhibitions that take on, touch on, or incorporate elements of the natural world.

Alexis Rockman: A Fable for Tomorrow provides insights about environmental issues—such as genetic engineering, deforestation, and climate change—and some of the most impressive painting of recent decades come together in Alexis Rockman's first major survey exhibition.

Landscape designer and artist Paula Hayes creates exquisite sculptural terrariums filled with tropical plant life. She has also designed a permanent outdoor installation adjacent to the center.

Elliott Hundley draws on classical mythology, art history, and current sociopolitical conditions to create installations that incorporate intricately constructed sculptures and monumentally scaled collages. The Bacchae investigates Euripides’s tragedy The Bacchae, and its many interpretations, as a way to examine notions of pleasure, grief, and guilt.

While you're here, take an informative Walk-in Tour. Your docent (tour guide) introduces some of the many highlights in our current exhibition while also encouraging you to ask questions and express your own ideas. Meet at the entrance to the galleries at 5 PM. The tour will last about an hour.
