GenWex Presents Off the Grid

What happens when you mix top-shelf acts, delicious eats from some of the city’s finest restaurants, our Hard Targets exhibition in the galleries, and a fierce dance party all for a good cause? Off the Grid. Last year, it was Andyland, before that, the Bling Ball and the Hair Ball. Now we’ve dusted off our party model for a new art-meets-sports extravaganza that will groove, kick, throb, and unfold around (and sometimes right next to) you.

Chicago’s Hood Internet, fast-rising wunderkinds of the mash-up scene, headline the entertainment with a get-down set that mixes new with vintage and indie with hip-hop. The festivities also include impromptu film screenings and locals Anna and the Annadroids, Nick Tolford and Company, and DJ Detox, to keep senses overloaded—and far off the grid—all night. Join us as we blow it out GenWex style at a party only the Wex’s young patrons could throw. All proceeds benefit our educational programming.
