The Market at 15th & High
Thu, Aug 23, 2012 3:30 PMThu, Oct 25, 2012 3:30 PM
Repeats every week every Thursday until Thu Oct 25 2012 .

Fresh local seasonal goodness returns to the Wexner Center Plaza, just in time to greet students, faculty, and staff at the start of Ohio State's first-ever fall semester.

This outdoor farmers’ market brings local produce, artisan cheese, meats, baked goods, and specialty items to the Ohio State campus and surrounding community every Thursday through October 25. Stop by and pick up some ripe Ohio tomatoes, juicy apples, squash of many shapes and sizes, salad fixings, fresh-cut flowers, and more. The selections vary each week depending on what's ripe for picking and ready for eating.

The market is held rain or shine, and 100% of the profits go directly to local farmers. SNAP benefits are accepted by some vendors. A few vendors are also participating in CSAs—community-supported agriculture, in which farmers deliver shares of produce on a weekly basis to subscribers—with the market serving as a pickup spot for their subscribers. The Market is included in Ohio State’s Your Plan for Health Faculty & Staff Incentive Program, where faculty and staff can earn points in the program by attending the Market.

Cosponsored by The Wayward Seed Farm and the Wexner Center for the Arts.

If you are a member of the Ohio State community or a resident of the University District, you are invited to contribute to the Market by setting up a table about your organization (PDF) or providing live acoustic music (PDF). Musical groups get a $10 credit to shop at the market as a thank you for contributing!

You can apply to become a vendor at the Market (PDF) or view the vendor rules (PDF).
