From Pop to Now: Selections from the Sonnabend Collection is your classroom for this three-part Art in Focus Short Course that examines both the works in the exhibition and Ileana Sonnabend's involvement in the art world.

Advance registration is required for this program. To register and for details, call 614 292-6493. For more than 40 years, gallery owners Ileana and Michael Sonnabend championed avant-garde American and European artists, often showing bold new work considered impossible to sell or too difficult for the times.

Dubbed "the Mom of Pop Art," Ileana Sonnabend introduced pop art, minimalism, and conceptual art to Europe in the 1960s and brought a new wave of European artists to New York in the 1980s. Join us for a look at selections from her diverse collection and a discussion of her durable taste.

This course is taught by Dr. Susan Myers, former faculty member in Ohio State's Department of Art Education, who frequently presents educational programs for the Wexner Center and Columbus Museum of Art.

Major support for the 2002Ò03 education season provided by the Borden Family of Companies.

All education programs presented with the support of the Corporate Annual Fund of the Wexner Center Foundation.
