Opening Reception—Interventions: Students Respond to the Environment

Come see some of the freshest—and greenest—artwork around, and support the creation of a new student project! Since August, high school students from all over central Ohio have been exploring art and environmental issues as part of the Wexner Center’s annual Art & Environment class. The Interventions exhibition is their chance to present the projects they’ve created to family, friends, fellow students, and the general public. The show is always full of surprising and intriguing artworks that are as varied, and as timely, as the topics the students have investigated in the Art & Environment class.

The Interventions exhibition is also on view Saturday, December 19, 3–5 PM. Visitors will enter through the doors on the 17th Avenue Plaza. Admission is free.

Art & Environment Student Art Commission at Audubon
This year one of our student artists will create a new artwork for long-term view at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center under the mentorship of a professional artist. But they can’t do it without your support—and your vote. Donate to our power2give crowdfunding campaign and cast your vote on which Interventions artist should receive the commission. You can vote in person or online, where the works in the exhibition will be posted. The minimum donation is only $1; voting ends December 30.

Visit power2give for more information and to donate.
