Join us for an “Encore Screening” of a live broadcast of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Richard II, directed by Artistic Director Gregory Doran, with David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) in the title role. The production is the first in the RSC’s new “Live from Stratford-upon-Avon” series, an initiative to screen its productions live from Shakespeare’s hometown to a broad audience via select cinemas around the world. The presentation is part of the ongoing partnership between the university and the RSC.

In this production of Shakespeare’s history play, King Richard is a monarch ordained by God to lead his people. But he is also a man of human weakness, whose vanity threatens to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a civil war that will last a century.
