Shumate Council

The Shumate African American Outreach and Engagement Council is a group of professionals who are curious and seek active engagement with Wexner Center for the Arts programming. This council is a group of volunteer professionals that seek to build a bridge between the Wexner Center and themselves personally as well as with elements of each council member’s respective network or community. Members of the council seek to serve as liaisons, supporters, participants, and ambassadors to not only the Wexner Center, but to arts and cultural experiences of our time, and to share that knowledge, those experiences with broader diverse communities.
