Director's Dialogue on Art and Social Change

The annual Director’s Dialogue supports the crucial role of contemporary art in sparking meaningful discussion of today’s issues: social justice, identity politics, race and police violence in America, climate change, health care, expressive freedom, and more. The series is made possible in part by a lead endowment gift from an anonymous donor.

Past guests have included such leading cultural and academic figures as Hanif Abdurraqib, Camae Ayewa (Moor Mother), Chinonye Chukwu, Ann Hamilton, Wil Haygood, Cameron Granger, Kerry James Marshall, Paul D. Miller (aka DJ Spooky), Jason Moran, Anna Deavere Smith, Lynne Tillman, and Patricia Williams.
