Here are some reviews that came through the media this morning:

Theater critic Joy Reilly aired a review Tuesday morning on WOSU, 89.7 FM radio, noting that the show is a "sensory experience--sort of a marriage of art and technology that is unlike anything in a traditional theater viewing." She also called it "powerful," "unpredictable," "extremely enticing," and "stunningly beautiful." The Wexner Center, she says, introduces Columbus to what's cutting-edge all over the world, and that "Central Ohio audiences are at the beginning of many of these very creative artistic births."

And on the Columbus Dispatch blog, theater critic Michael Grossberg writes, "Director Romeo Castellucci's aesthetic is most fascinating and seductive in the ways it blends striking visuals, spare poetic movements and tantalizing islands of stillness amid the storm. The lighting (by Giacomo Gorini and Luciano Trebbi) adds hallucinatory intensity as well as some gee-whiz laser effects. Composer Scott Gibbons reinforces the phantasmagoric atmosphere with hurricane-gale waves of animalistic, mechanical and otherworldly sounds." He also notes, "New concepts might be needed to describe this show and especially a visionary European director's distinctive painterly experimentalism. Imagine a stage show that's more like a series of staged paintings than anything else- more visual arts than performing arts." Read the full review here.
