Welcome to your glimpse into the Wex's docent program. Get to know the people involved, the work involved, and the fun involved—with all things docent. You may be asking yourself, “What's a docent?" You'll learn the answer to this question and more as you read on.





A docent is actually a person—a very important person, in fact. When school and community groups visit the Wexner Center, they can ask for a docent to accompany them into the galleries and guide them in looking at the works on display. Ideally, docents ask a lot of great questions that get people talking about what they see. It's not really the goal of a docent to dump a bunch of information on you, the idea is to get you looking and thinking about what's going on in the galleries.
