Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

Art + Feminism

To align with Ohio State’s precautions around COVID-19, our on-site Wikipedia Edit-a-thon event is now postponed until fall. Thank you for your understanding and support. However, we invite you to join a virtual Edit-a-thon and contribute to the Art+Feminism initiative.

Despite its wide reach, Wikipedia suffers from a severe gender imbalance. This Edit-a-thon celebrates Women’s History Month and raises awareness to ongoing challenges caused by discrimination while aiming to increase coverage of gender, feminism, and the arts online.

On March 18, we encourage new and experienced editors to first create an account by logging in to the dashboard and then participating in self-guided Wikipedia editing throughout the day.

Please follow the Facebook event page for updates and instructions. We will be monitoring the page from 9 AM to 5 PM for questions, but participants may edit anytime on March 18.

Thank you to our cosponsors: Ohio State’s University Libraries, Office of Student Life Multicultural Center, and the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
