Bubble

This member-only screening is the Columbus theatrical premiere of Bubble, the latest film by director Steven Soderbergh. After such star-studded efforts as Ocean's Eleven and Out of Sight, Bubble marks director Steven Soderbergh's return to his independent filmmaking roots. Shot primarily in the small town of Belpre, Ohio, and featuring a nonprofessional cast, the film examines the tragic events that follow the arrival of an attractive young woman at a local doll factory. Bubble also represents a new direction in film distribution: the film is released in theaters and on DVD the same day. (90 mins.)
