Criterion Collection Executive Producer Kim Hendrickson provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Tiffany’s of DVD production, including how titles are selected and what goes into a complete Criterion package.

Then watch Luis Buñuel’s Simon of the Desert—a surrealist’s skeptical but sweet satire about the life of an ascetic saint tempted by a devilishly beautiful (and female) devil. Criterion calls the film “wild and wicked.” (45 mins.).

Criterion’s new DVD of this classic features a restored high-definition digital transfer of the film, a 1995 documentary by Emilio Maillé about Buñuel’s work in Mexico, a new interview with actress Silvia Pinal (who plays the devil), and a booklet with a new essay by critic Michael Wood and a reprinted essay by Buñuel himself.

Join us in the Wexner Center Store from 6 to 7 PM for light refreshments while shopping our entire selection of Criterion DVDs at 30% off the regular price.

DVD + admission special offer limited to the first 100 people. You'll be able to pick up the DVD at the reception.
