Entre nous, a compassionate tale of friendship and self-discovery, gained director Diane Kurys an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Languge Film. Get a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Huppert at work with the 2001 documentary Isabelle Huppert, A Life of Acting.

Second feature start time: 9 pm. Entre nous (a.k.a. Coup de foudre) charmed audiences around the world with its portrait of two women in the provincial France of the early 1950s--one a housewife trapped in a marriage of convenience, the other a bohemian free spirit, and both survivors of the Nazi occupation. The two become rejuvenated when they form an intimate friendship and cast their fates as one. As Newsweek noted, Diane Kurys's third feature "achieves an epic scale and Olympian oversight without sacrificing the most intimate nuances of domestic detail." (35mm, 108 mins.)

The intimate documentary Isabelle Huppert, A Life of Acting provides a rare portrait of the enigmatic actress, following her on the set of Michael Haneke's The Piano Teacher and Claude Chabrol's Merci pour le chocolat, as well as in a stage production of Medea. (video, 52 mins.)
