Ohio Shorts 2017 Call for Entries
For Filmmakers of All Ages

The Wexner Center’s annual Ohio Shorts competition showcases the best in Ohio-produced short films—from documentary, animation, or dramatic narrative, to anything in-between. The upcoming screening and reception on April 29, 2017, will again combine adult and youth divisions for one powerful evening of all-ages video from the Buckeye state. Video submissions will be accepted electronically January 1–March 6, 2017. Winners will be announced April 3 and prizes awarded (including the Audience Choice Award) at the April 29 event. Each entry that is selected for the showcase will be awarded a $50 screening fee and receive a complimentary ticket for the evening.
Entry Guidelines: Adult Division
Pieces must be independently produced, no longer than 20 minutes, and produced in Ohio within the last 18 months. Entries must be submitted by Vimeo or YouTube link and must be accompanied by an entry form. Only one entry per person is permitted. Previously submitted works will not be accepted.

Entry Guidelines: Youth Division
Pieces must be independently produced, no longer than 5 minutes, and produced in Ohio within the last 18 months by an artist who will be 18 years of age or younger at the time of the showcase. Entries must be submitted by Vimeo or YouTube link and must be accompanied by a entry form. Only one entry per person is permitted. Previously submitted works will not be accepted. Filmmakers 12 and younger should have their parent or legal guardian contact Jean Pitman directly at the email address or phone number below.
