20th Century Fox’s Schawn Belston kicks off an evening of chilling suspense with the newly restored horror classic The Omen. While in Rome, an American diplomat (Gregory Peck) accepts an infant from a hospital priest when his own newborn dies. Keeping this from his wife (Lee Remick), they name the child Damien and bad things start to happen. Like really bad. Garnering an Oscar for Jerry Goldsmith’s haunting score, the film launched director Richard Donner’s career (Superman, Lethal Weapon). (111 mins., 4K DCP)

Restored and released by 20th Century Fox.
