“A major accomplishment, the rare non-fiction film that pulls off the feat of revealing the complexity of its subject.”—indieWIRE.com

In 1993, revered German artist Anselm Kiefer left his home country for La Ribaute, an abandoned silk factory in the south of France where he began creating a series of bizarre installations that came to resemble a sprawling village. Shot in Cinemascope, Over Your Cities bears witness to Kiefer’s alchemical creative process, capturing the massive, personal universe he has built at his studio estate in a remarkable film journey.
