Pelicanman tells the story of 10-year-old Emil and his adventures with a pelican whose appearance has everyone around him, apart from the boy, fooled. Dressing and acting as a human, the pelican gets a job as a stagehand, moves into an apartment with a woman allergic to birds, and under Emil's teaching, learns to read. The Pelicanman's slapstick antics provide companionship to Emil as he adjusts to the separation of his parents. And, in the process, the boy learns something about the importance of humans' ability to remember the past. (89 mins.)

Recommended for ages 6 and up. Subtitles will be read aloud.
