Tonight, A. O. Scott, one of the most influential voices on contemporary cinema and chief film critic at the New York Times, introduces a screening of Robert Altman’s The Player. Scott will reflect on the late, maverick director's career as well as the history of the depiction of Hollywood in popular film. On staff at the Times since 2000, Scott was formerly on the editorial staffs of Lingua Franca and The New York Review of Books.
