Marilyn Monroe teams with Robert Mitchum in this western noted for some of the best widescreen cinematography of the 1950s.

The plot finds a dance hall singer (played by Monroe) thrown together with an ex-prisoner (Mitchum) and his young son on a wilderness trek, much of it filmed in the Canadian Rockies. The trio are in pursuit of the man who stole their belongings, a gambler who was the singer’s fiancé. Writing at the time of the film's release, Bosley Crowther of the New York Times commented, "it is a toss-up whether the scenery or the adornment of Marilyn Monroe is the feature of greater attraction.… The mountainous scenery is spectacular, but so, in her own way, is Miss Monroe."(91 mins., 35mm)

Head outside after the film to see Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden in Billy Wilder's Sabrina, Wex Drive-In style.
