The film that swept the 2007 César Awards (the French Oscars), The Secret of the Grain is a touching and exuberantly humanistic story that captures the dreams, loves, and struggles of a large Arab immigrant family living in a French port town.

The aging male head of the family decides to open a restaurant specializing in fish couscous dishes only to be met with resistance from the local bureaucracy. (151 mins., 35mm)
