"…an aesthetic breakthrough for [Ben Stiller]."—New York Film Festival

Recently the Centerpiece selection at New York Film Festival, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a warm and charming comic fable from director Ben Stiller. Updating Columbus native James Thurber’s classic short story for a contemporary era, star and director Stiller has assembled a star-studded cast including Kristen Wiig, Sean Penn, Patton Oswalt, Adam Scott, and the legendary Shirley MacLaine to tell the story of the title daydreamer whose life as a photo researcher at Life magazine takes a powerful and adventurous turn as he goes on the hunt for a long-lost photograph. Already tipped to be a holiday blockbuster and strong Oscar contender, we’re excited to partner with the Thurber House to present a special preview screening exclusively for Wexner Center members and friends of the Thurber House on the cusp of the story’s 75th anniversary.
