This popular annual program returns with seven films from the most recent Sundance Film Festival, widely considered the premier showcase for short films and the launching pad for many now-prominent filmmakers.
Among the selections in this year’s diverse mix are Nikyatu Jusu’s Suicide by Sunlight, about a black vampire protected from the sun by her melanin, and Alexandra Lazarowich’s Jury Award–winner FAST HORSE, about the fascinating bareback horse-racing traditions of the Blackfoot people. (96 mins., DCP)
