Set in a coastal area in southern Thailand decimated by the 2004 tsunami, Wonderful Town depicts a passionate love affair between the operator of a small hotel and a Bangkok architect helping with the city’s reconstruction.

The blossoming relationship unfolds in counterpoint to the slow decay of the once thriving urban space, raising poignant questions about the connection between people and the natural world. Selected for the prestigious New Directors/New Films series in New York. (92 mins., 35mm)

Presented in association with Ohio State’s International Education Week.
